About Troop 9
Boy Scout Troop 9 is located in scenic Monument, Colorado in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. We are in the Jamboree District of the Pathway to the Rockies Council and meet at The Church at Woodmoor, who is also our Chartered Organization. The location of our meetings is 18125 Furrow Rd, Monument, CO 80132 and we start every Monday at 7:00 PM and end at 8:30 PM. We follow School District 38s calendar so check it for holiday and snow day information. We look forward to your visit!
Scouting in the beautiful Rocky Mountain region allows for a variety of seasonal activities. We begin the year with skiing and outdoor snow events (camping indoors with an option for outdoor camping as well). In the Spring, we transition with our cross-over Webelo Scouts and other new scouts in a Scout Skills campout on Church property. That allows the Scout and adult leaders to assess the camping skills of each new Scout and make the transition easier, as well as set a foundation for Scout Camping Skills. The summer is filled with a long-term Scout Camp and a multitude of Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter activities including Rock Climbing, White Water Rafting, Biking, Hiking, Ice Climbing and Fishing to name a few events.
Troop 9 has a very robust membership and there are plenty of Scout and adult leadership opportunities.
